Egypt Cemetery is an abandoned cemetery located on

the west bank of Bayou Macon. at low water bridge  crossing.



It got its name from  Egyptian Plantation which was located along the waterway.



Before the civil war the land was donated by Mr. Hunter Bradley for colored 

people to be buried in.
