W. Choat a copy of which is hereto anexed and made a part hereof after having had the property of the Estate of I. W. Choat, Isaac W. Choat, advertised according to the law and in pursuance of the Said as per the anexed Copy of the advertisement which is also made a part hereof I A. W. Moon, Sheriff of the parish of Franklin went to the residence of the Deceased and that the hour of twelve oclock PM proceeded to offer the proper the property according to said advertisement and the law for cas at the appraised value in an audible voice there being no bid in any of the property for cash. It was then reoffered on a credit of twelve months. The Land being first offered in lots. Robert S. Boughton became the purchaser of the South West quarter of the North East quarter of the North West quarter of South East Quarter and North East quarter of South West quarter of Sec. 28 in Township 15 North Range 6. E. containing one Hundred and twenty acres more or less for the price and Sum of Fifty cents per acre his being the last and highest bid it was adjudicated to him. He also became the purchaser of the East half of North East quarter of Section 4 in Township 1 H North Range 6, East, containing Eighty Acres more or less for the price and Sum of fifty cents per acre and being forty Dollars in the aggregate his being the last and highest bid the same was adjudicated to him. He also became the purchaser as the last and highest bidder of the following personal property at the price hereinafter stated viz. Sixty Head of Stock Cattle more or less at two Dollars & 50/100 per head amounting to One Hundred and fifty Dollars; Fifty Seven Head of Hogs at the price of Three Dollars per head amounting to the Sum of one Hundred and Seventy one Dollars. On account on the Estate of Mrs. C. Hewitt for the sum of twenty five cents. One Cooking Stove at the price and Sum of twenty Seven Dollars and fifty Cents making the aggregate of his purchase the Sum of Four Hundred fifty eight and 75/100 Dollars, Being Sum of his minor Son William A. who is an heir and Grandson of Decd. he retained the amount of his bid in his own hands Subject to the final Settlement and partitions of the Estate. Mrs. Catherine Choat, partner in Community and Admrx. of the Estate of the Deceased as the last and highest bidder became the purchaser of the following tracts of land, to wit: South West quarter of South East quarter and South quarter and the North East Quarter of North West quarter of Sec. 33. Containing two Hundred acres more or less at the price of fifty cents per acre amounting to one Hundred Dollars. And the South half of North East quarter South East quarter of North West quarter North half of South West quarter North West quarter of South East quarter of Section 33. Containing two Hundred and forty acres more or less for the Sum of fifty Cents per acre being all in Township 15, N. R. 6. E. Amounting to one Hundred and Twenty Dollars; and the following personal property to wit; one Sorrel mule, on Hundred and fifty Dollars; one black do. at One Hundred and fifty Dollars; one Sorrell Horse at forty Dollars. Seventy Head of Sheep at Three Dollars per Head $210. One ox Waggon at Eighty Dollars. One Yoke of Oxen at Ninety Dolalrs One Set Black Smith Tools Twenty Five Dollars One lot Farming Dools at Seventeen Dollars; Twenty Five Dollars One lot farming Tools at Seventeen Dollars; Twenty four Dollars in Coin at Twenty five Dollars & 25/100, One yoke of Oxen at Eighty five Dollars. One odd Ox at twenty five Dollars. Making the amount of her purchase the sum of Eleven Hundred and Seventeen Dollars & 25/100, $1117.25 being the Admx., and partner of the Community. She retained the Amount of her Several bids as aforesaid in her own hand until the final Settlement of the Administration. William F. Choat one of the Heirs as the last and highest bidder became the pruchaser of the South West Quarter of South West quarter of Sec. 28 & West half of North West quarter of Section 33 and East half of North East Quarter of Sec. 32 all in Township 16 N. R. 6, East containing in the aggregate Five Hundred acres more or less at the peicr of Fifty cents per acre making one Hundred Dollars, and the following Described personal Describvevd property viz. One Brown mule for One Hundred and Sixty Dollars One account on Patrick McGinnis at 50 cent One account on Wiles Crook at twenty Seven Dollars & 25/100 making the aggregate of his purchase Five Hundred Eighty Seven Dollars & 75/100, and being one of the heirs retained the amount of his purchase to await the final Settlement of the Estate. Isaac W. Choat, Jr. As the last and highest bidder became the purchaser of the following notes and accounts, on account on E. P. Thomason at 25 cents Note on P. H. Parham at $50 An account on John Moore at twenty Dollars and account on A. S. Atkinson at 25 cents, a note on W. A. Thomas at 50 cents; Making the aggregate of his purchase twenty one Dollars & 50 cents being one of the heirs he retained of his bid till the final Settlement of the Estate. James M. Bagget one yiork of oxen at one Hundred and One Dollars Having Executed his note with James R. Cottingham his Security payable to Mrs. C. Choat Admx. The Same were adjudicated and Delivered to him. Pendleton Hix purchased an account on Black Smith Ike at Thirty one Dollars & having executed his note with I. W. Choat Security the Same was adjudicated to him and delivered. The household furniture not being sold but retained by the Admx.; the use of which She claims this being all the property known to me as Therein the sale was concluded. No therefore I A. W. Moore Sheriff of the parish of Franklin by virtue of the premises and the authority vested in me by law, I do hereby sell assign Transfer and Deliver unto the respective purchasers all the right title and Interest which the deceased had in and to the virtue and herein Conveyed and Described hereafter __________.
