C., June, 1903, born Louisiana, occupation farmer, Res. Winnsboro, La., age when enlisted 19, single. Substituted by his brother, Robt. H. Scott, March, 1862. Henry M. Scott was born Oct. 10th, 1841 in Louisiana. He was the brother of John D. and Robert H. Scott of the same Company. Henry was still single and farming in Winnsboro when he decided to enlist in the Regiment in New Orleans on June 19th, 1861. Henry became sick about Nov. 25th, 1861 and was substituted by his brother, Robert H. Scott on March 13th, 1862. Henry came home and married Georgie Applewhite. They farmed in Winnsboro the rest of their lives and Henry died there on Oct. 27th, 1895. He is buried in the Old Winnsboro Cemetery
