Haines was rushed to the Winnsboro Sanitarium, but died at 2:50 this morning. He had been burned over the entire body. It was said the the negro had entered the small gasoline storage house, carrying a lighted lantern. The gas exploded just as he entered the door. The gasoline storage house was a complete lost as well as a smokehouse nearby which contained 700 pounds of cured meat.
