Negro Killed Near Wisner by Auto on Last Tuesday Even'g
 
Jacob Willis, colored, of Wisner, was killed last Tuesday 
evening about seven o'clock on the highway between Wisner 
proper and the mill site of Fisher Lumber Corporation.
According to authentic reports, Willis had just come on 
and was crossing the highway when the accident occurred. 
The conclusion drawn is that he had a hat pulled over his 
eyes to protect himself from the elements as it was raininy 
(sic raining) hard, and was unable to see an oncoming 
automobile which struck him.
He was rushed to a Natchez hospital, but died before 
reaching the city.
