Williamson, Crowville resident. Mr. Williamson had been in ill health for a number of years and his death was not entirely unexpected by his immediate circle of friends and relatives. Mr. Williamson passed away at a local hospital at nine o'clock Sunday night, and was interred in the Crowville Masonic cemetery Monday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. C.S. Wroten of the Crowville Baptist church officiated at the final service. Funeral directions were handled by the Lowry Funeral Home. From that time until his death here this week he lived on his farm near Crowville. Mr. Williamson was a deacon in the Baptist church and devoted his life to church activities. Anything involving the betterment of Franklin parish and his community found him a willing supporter. One of his most active interests lay in the improvement of parish schools. For a number of years Mr. Williamson served on the parish tax equalization board. Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Williamson; one brother, Sam Williamson, who lives, near Baskin; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Holloway of Natchez, Miss.
