Sanders ********************************************* The Franklin Sun February 13, 1941 Submitted by: Karen Sue McNease Mrs. Lottie Antley Dies At Her Home Sunday Morning Mrs. Lottie Antley, mother of ten children, died Sunday morning at her home at Crowville. Mrs. Antley was 56 at the time of her death, which came after a short illness. Rev. Polk officiated at services held Monday afternoon in the Crowville Masonic cemetery. The Winnsboro Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. Antley is survived by her husband, W.E. Antley; five sons, Wyatt, Malvin; and W.M. Antley, of Winnsboro, William Antley of Delhi, and Myatt D. Antley, of Shreveport; five daughters, Mrs. Arzelle Grisson and Mrs. Lela Sikes of Winnsboro, Mrs. Vera Womack of Gilbert and Mrs. Pauline Riser of Crowville; one brother H. M. Day of Holly Ridge; and four sisters, Mrs. J.D. Aulds of West Monroe, Mrs. Martha Simpson and Mrs. S.A. Smith, of Point, La., and Mrs. S.M. Foster of Pickens, Miss. Pallbearers were S.C. Taylor, A.T. Riser, W.L. Wiltshire, C.A. Wright, A.C. Harper and Ed Wallace. ************ The Franklin Sun February 13, 1941 Submitted by: Karen Sue McNease Mrs. Betty Lee Passes Away Friday At Local Clinic Mrs. Betty Lee, wife of the late Robert E. Lee, died at the age of 60 in a l ocal clinic last Friday morning. Mrs. Lee had been ill for only a short time. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Magnolia church near Winnsboro. Officiating were Rev. G. C. Odom, Rev. S.P. Smith and Rev. T.G. Polk. Interment followed in the Magnolia cemetery, with the Winnsboro Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Lee is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Annie Earl of Winnsboro, and Mrs. D.R. Donnell and Mrs. Carrie McGee, of Swampers; three sons, J.N. Lee of Winnsboro, and N.G. and H.H. Lee of Swampers; and a sister, Mrs. Mae Pantzee of Houston, Texas. ************************************************ The Franklin Sun February 13, 1941 Submitted by: Karen Sue McNease Thomas O'Neal Thomas O'Neal, 75 year old Wisner resident, died in an Alexandria hospital Monday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Holly Grove Church, with Rev. Leon McLemore officiating. I nterment followed in the Holly Grove cemetery. Sanders Rites Held Last Friday At Jigger Church Services at the Shady Grove Church in the Jigger settlement were held last Friday for Amy W. Sanders, who died the night before at his home in that community. The final rites were held at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Enon Boyett officiating. Interment was made in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Survivors of the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Etta Sanders; a daughter, Mrs. Mamie Scrugs, of Jigger; a brother, Warren Sanders, also of Jigger; and a sister, Mrs. Ira Crain, of Ft. Necessity. Pallbearers were F.R. Swift, O.C. Mercer, E.L. Autrey, F. R. Reagan, Bill Tillman and W.K. McKaskle. In charge was the Winnsboro Funeral Home. *****************
