Ross Mrs. Ada Woamck ************************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 6, 1941 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Victor Kidd Dies Saturday; Buried At Winnfield Victor Kidd of Liddieville, 29, died at a Shreveport hospital Saturday morning and was buried in the New Hope cemetery at Winnfield after services were conducted in the New Hope church. He is survived by a brother, T. C. Ross George L. Ross of Franklin Parish Dies Early Monday Funeral Services Held At Fort Necessity Tuesday At 3 P.M. George L. Ross, 71, prominent retired planter of Franklin parish, died at a Winnsboro hospital early Monday. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Boeuf Prairie Methodist church at Ft. Necessity, with the Rev. O. L. Tucker, pastor of the Winnsboro Methodist church, officiating. Interment, with Masonic rites, was in the Boeuf Prairie cemetery. Mr. Ross, a life-long resident of Franklin parish, retired several years ago due to ill health. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Della Dark Ross, the following children, Mrs. Mary Kincaid, Mrs. Ada Thornton, Mrs. Luther Lanier, Miss Jeanette Ross, George, Marvin, Charles, Roy, Alvin, and Buddy Ross and a step-son, R. L. Ross, all of Winnsboro; a brother, J. H. Ross, and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Lee Turner, both of Ft. Necessity. Active pallbearers were Ernest Mason, Bobby Mason, Buddy Wooldridge, Oscar Kincaid, Guy Kincaid, Nuttle Dailey and Neil Dailey. Honorary pallbearers were P. B. Brown, Harry Scriber, Eli Moore, Jim Buie, Walter Clinton, John Dailey, L. E. May, Joe Brock, J. R. Wooldridge, Buddy Wiggers, B. S. Landis, Joe Vetsch, G. W. Potter, Jim Wooldridge, Spencer Desha, J. F. King, George King, K. E. King, Henry Buie and J. M. King. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. ****************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 13, 1941 Submitted Jan. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Ada Woamck Death Comes Monday To Mrs. Womack, Gilbert Resident Mrs. Ada Womack, wife of the late R. B. Womack, died early Tuesday morning at Gilbert in the home of her son, Sam Womack. Mrs. Womack passed away at the age of 62. Services for the deceased were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Liddieville Baptist Church with interment being made in the Ogden cemetery. Rev. Tom Ratcliff officiated. Mrs. Womack is survived by six sons, Harvey and Sam Womack of Gilbert, and Herbert, Wyatt, Lawson and Hower (sic) Homer Womack, of Wisner, two daughters, Mrs. McMurray of Liddieville and Mrs. Lillie Melton of Chatham; and a brother, Obe Willis of Jena.
