McCarty Alexander Vetsch *************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 8, 1945 Submitted Jan. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Erskin Funeral Held Friday Afternoon Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Erskin, 77, who died at the home of a son, T. A. Erskin, early Thursday morning, were held Friday afternoon at the Lone Cedar church with the Rev. T. G. Polk officiating. Mrs. Erskin, who moved to Franklin parish in 1906, is survived by three sons, T. A. Erskin, Alvin Erskin and Avert Erskin, all of Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. T. M. Cruse, Winnsboro and Mrs. Vicie Ann Brown of Grayson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Susie Allen and Mrs. Betty Beavers, Alexandria; one brother, John Allen Sikes, 23 grandchildren anbd 12 great-grandchildren. *********************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 1, 1945 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd W. W. McCarty McCarty's Brother Dies At Home Near Sikes Tues. W. W. McCarty, eldest brother of C. C. McCarty, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home near Sikes. He leaves five brothers and one sister. ************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 1, 1945 Submitted January 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Alexander Vetsch Alexander Vetsch Dies After Lengthy Illness Funeral services for Alexander J. Vetsch, who died Thursday, January 25, at his home near Ft. Necessity after a long illness, were held Sunday at 2 o'clock in White Swan church with the Rev. Mr. Collins, pastor of the Gilbert Methodist church, officiating. Masons were in charge of the grave. Interment was in White Swan cemetery under the direction of the First National Funeral home. He is survived by a brother, Joseph Vetsch, Ft. Necessity; three nephews, A. C. Vetsch, Jackson, Miss.; G. M. Vetsch, Shrevport; W. C. Vetsch, New Orleans and one niece, Mrs. C. P. Vining, Oak Grove.
