Jess Hawthorne officiating. Burial was made in the Ogden cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral home. Mr. Brewster died in a Winnsboro hospital Saturday evening. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Brewster; seven sons, James L. Brewster, Deridder, Chester, Vernon, Clyde, Eugene, Leon Jr., and Charles Brewster all of Baskin; three daughters, Miss Margie Brewster and Miss Nadine Brewster, Baskin, and Mrs. Nell Smith, Baskin. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pe??, Alexandria, and Mrs. Maggie Fellow (sic) Fowler, Lecompte; and his father, Lensey Brewster of Lecompte. The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA September 19, 1946 Submitted Feb. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Last Rites Conducted For Mrs. Cora Dark Sunday at Boeuf River Mrs. Cora Jones Dark, succumbed, after a long illness, Saturday afternoon at a Monroe hospital. She was 70 years of age. Funeral rites and burial services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Boeuf River Baptist church and the Ogden cemetery with the Rev. Tom Ratcliff, assisted by the Rev. J. H. Hamilton of Ferriday, officiating. Mrs. Dark is survived by her husband, two sons, six daugh-mediate family. The husband is R. L. Dark, Winnsboro; sons, P. L. Dark, Winnsboro, and Carl M. Dark, Columbia; daughters, Mrs. W. L. Simon and Mrs. Della Ross of Ft. Necessity, Mrs. G. R. Knight of Tuscon, Ariz., Mrs. S. C. Ferguson of Clayton, Mrs. D. C. McGraw of Shreveport and Mrs. L. H. Young of Ferriday; brothers, A. M. Jones, Houston, Tex., and R. D. Jones, Winnfield. Pallbearers were Daniel G. Ross, Charles Ray Hargrove, S. C. Ferguson, Jr., Roy C. Simon, ? B.
