Funeral services and burial were last Sunday morning at Ogden, with the Rev. Thomas Ratcliff, pastor of Boeuf River Baptist church, oficiating. Survivors include her husband, T. W. Albritton; a son, Milton; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Daughty, (sic Doughty) Winnsboro; a brother and two other sisters. Pallbearers were Pink Dark, Sonny Anders, Ark and Dock Bennett, Willis Baskin and John Thomas. The rites were under the direction of First National Funeral home. ************************************************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA November 14, 1946 Submitted March 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd John Jackson Collins Accident Fatal To Local Resident Loose Gravel Causes Truck to Overturn John Jackson Collins Rites were conducted Sunday morning for John Jackson Collins, who was fatally injured about 1 p.m. Friday when a truck he was driving overturned in loose gravel about two miles east of here. Forty years of age, the accident victim resided near Winnsboro. Funeral services were held at Boeuf River Baptist church and burial was in Ogden cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Ratcliff was officiating minister, and First National Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were C. D. Bennett, L. C. Bennett, P. L. Dark, Bert Etheridge, Claude Russell and Melvin Williams. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Clarkson of Dunn, Miss Elsie Collins of Columbia, Willie Earl, Patsy Faye and Shirley Collins of Winnsboro; two sons, Johnnie of Winnsboro and Billy, U. S. army air forces, stationed in Illinois; two brothers, Arch, U. S. marines, and Lewis; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Collins, Sr., Winnsboro. The deceased was a member of New Hope lodge, F.& A.M., Liddieville community. **********************************************
