Johnston Interred Wednesday Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Liddieville Free Methodist church for Wayne L. Johnston, 45, Liddieville, with the Rev. Louis B. Jones, pastor of the Boeuf River Baptist church, the Rev. L. H. Reese, pastor of the Liddieville Free Methodist church, and the Rev. T. E. Davis, pastor of the Winnsboro Free Methodist church, officiating. Interment followed in the Ogden cemetery at Liddieville. Mr. Johnston, who died in a Monroe hospital Tuesday afternoon, was a native of Franklin parish. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eddied W. Johnston; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Chapman, Winnsboro; two brothers, Andrew Johnston and Hardy Johnston, both of Winnsboro. Bearing the pall were Harvey Davis, Ted Walker, Dub Simmons, Ned Williams, M. Dennis Peel and John 'Williams. The Mulhearn Funeral home made the final arrangements. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA October 20, 1949 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Bertha Roberts, Wisner, Dies Sunday Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Gilbert Methodist church for Mrs. Bertha Roberts, 57, Wisner, with the Rev. A. W. Coody, pastor, officiating. Interment follwed in the Oakley cemetery. Mrs. Roberts, who died in Wisner Sunday at noon, is survived by her husband, Ransom Roberts; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Bell Boles, Eola; four sons, Harold of New Orleans, Aubrey of Wisner, Ray Hubert of Kansas City, Mo., and Harry Hill of Monroe, and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers included P. B. Turner, E. A. Turner, Jack Jarrett, V. C. Carroll, A. E. Martin, Julian Stephens, Chris Stephens and Earl Stephens.
