Cook Services for Mrs. Mable Whitney Cook were held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Coax Baptist church, with the Rev. Walter Braswell officiating. Interment followed in the Coax cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Cook died Sunday in a Monroe hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nora Bell Nugent and Mrs. Alice Nelson; three step-daughters, Mrs. R. L. McMurray, Mrs. Irene Johnson and Mrs. Ethel Banks; three sisters, Mrs. Lodie Givens, Mrs. Mae Cook and Mrs. Alice Goodman; three brothers, Jessie Whitney, Archie Whitney and Edward Whitney. Pallbearers were Quinn Blount, Edward Brand, Mint Magee, Terall Ratcliff, T. J. Fitzgerald, Father Of Local Woman, Dies Thomas Fitzgerald, 84, father of Mrs. Ruth Rhein, Winnsboro, died of a heart attack at his home in Eudora, Arkansas, Sunday night. Funeral services were held in Eudora Tuesday, with interment following in the Eudora cemetery. Mr. Fitzgerald, a lifetime resident of Eudora and a retired farmer-cattleman, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Rhein, of Winnsboro; one son, Jack Fitzgerald of Eudora; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. ------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 25, 1955 Submitted December 2008 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Willie Hill Punchard Funeral services for Willie Hill Punchard, 52, who died at his home at Sicily Island Monday, were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Pine Hill Baptist church. The Rev. Paul Brooks officiated. Interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Punchard; one son, Benny Ray Punchard; four daughters, Miss Mary Ruth Punchard, Mrs. J. W. Sanders, Miss Nellie Lou Punchard and Miss Evelyn Grace Punchard. Pallbearers were Dennie Furr, Eudley Bird, Simon Myers, Albert Pearson, Ray Goldman and Harold Cupit. ---------------------------------------------------------
