The Rev. Jack Jones officiated. Mr. Bryant, who passed away at 12 noon Saturday after a lengthy illness, leaves his wife, Mrs. Alice Bryant of Jigger; four sons, Bentley B. and Joe Bryant, both of Ferrriday, Leon Bryant of Crowville, and Travis Bryant of Kerman, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Arnold, Newellton, Mrs. Eunice Kessler of Gilbert, and Mrs. Nola Taylor, Waskom, Tex. Interment was in the Newellton Memorial Cemetery at Newellton under the direction of First National Funeral Home. ********************************** Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd H. P. Graham Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist church of Winnsboro for H.P. Graham, 59, of Winnsboro, with the Rev. C.B. Hall and the Rev. W.H. Bengtson officiating. Mr. Graham died in a local hospital Sunday morning, September 25. A member of the Winnsboro First Baptist church and the Diamond-Hawthorne post, American Legion, Mr. Graham has been connected with the International Paper company of Bastrop and Springhill for several years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Doris Robinson Graham; a son, Herschel Graham, Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. A. M. Shinpock, Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Anita Irvin, Vidalia; a brother, Clarence Graham of Eudora, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Faulkenberry of Minden, Mrs. Ola Beason of Mangham and Mrs. Annie Davis of Bentonia, Miss.; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Billy Duplissey, Lavell McCain, I. T. Robinson, Nolan Nesbitt, C.C. Hopkins and W. C. Whitten. Interment under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home followed in the Old Winnsboro cemetery. *********************************** James Hall Hammons Prominent Wisner business man, James Hall Hammons, 53, who died unexpectedly at his residence early Wednesday, was laid to rest today in Hasley cemetery, West Monroe, following graveside Masonic rites. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist church of Wisner, with the Rev. H. L. Samson of Parkview Baptist church, Monroe, and the Rev. Fred Baxter of Wisner officiating. Mr. Hammons, who returned to the United States in December 1951 after having been employed by Standard oil company in Venezuela, South America, was a member of the board of deacons of the First Baptist church of Wisner, the Wisner Lions club and Masonic lodge. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Grace Hammons; a daughter, Mrs. S. W. Sisk of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Mrs. J. E. Hammons of Pineville; six brothers, the Rev. Havard G. Hammons of Forest, John E. and D. L. Hammons of Dubach, William Hammons of Wisner, R. M. Hammons of Wisner and Jack Hammons of Venezuela; three sisters, Mrs. T. L. Owen of Pineville, Mrs. C.C. Butler of Pensacola, Fla. and Mrs. J. T. Neal of Ferriday. Deacons of the Wisner church served as pallbearers. They were W. C. Thurman, J. A. Turner, R. R. Scott, A. D. Edwards, J. E. Barfield, J. T. Smith, C. I. Watson, C.W. Kelly, 61, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mulhearn Funeral chapel in Winnsboro, with the Rev. W. D. Morriss officiating. Interment was in the Newellton cemetery. Surviving Mr. Kelly are one brother, L. E. Kelly of Wisner, and a sister, Mrs. E. H. Sample of Clarksdale. He died in Albuquerque, N. M. Friday after a long illness. Pallbearers were members of the American Legion post of Newellton. ************************************** Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Peter Kolic A funeral mass was conducted at 8 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic church, Winnsboro, for Peter Kolic, 79, who died Thursday, September 22, at the Riley Rest home. Rosary services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment was in the New Winnsboro cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home. Mr. Kolic was born in Yugoslavia, where some of his family still reside. He is survived ******************************************** Ebb McMahan Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Central Baptist church near Wisner for Ebb McMahan of Wisner, who died Sunday night at a Natchez hospital following a long illness. The Rev. Ira Patterson officiated; interment followed in the Central cemetery under the direction of Brown and Young Funeral home of Winnsboro. Mr. McMahan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie McMahan; two sons, Oliver and E. B. McMahan, both of Natchez; one daughter, Mrs. Lucy Zimmerman of Natchez; three half-sisters, Mrs. J. C. Ferrington, Sr. of Jigger, Mrs. E. K. McGee, Rayville, and Mrs. Samuel Roberts of Eureka; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. ********************************************* Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Alma Mae Rolen Mrs. Alma Mae Rolen, 50, a resident of Winnsboro, died suddenly at her residence on September 24 at 9 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, in the Boeuf River Baptist church at Liddieville, with the Rev. T. J. Ratcliff officiating. Surviving Mrs. Rolen are her husband, J. R. Rolen, Winnsboro; four sons, James, Herman and David Rolen, all of Winnsboro, and Louis Rolen, U.S. Army, Alaska; one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Dove of Winnsboro; four grandchildren; a brother, John Williams, Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Alpha Porter, Germany; three half-sisters and three half-brothers. Pallbearers were Cecil Russell, Hezekiah Bryant, J.P. Nealy, Jeff Hawsey, L.R. Hatton, Ira Parks, Jess Fain and Dennis Killens. Interment was in Ogden cemetery.
