The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hall Funeral home chapel with the Rev. Filer Seal, pastor of the Trenton Baptist church of West Monroe, officiating. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery at Crowville and a graveside service was held. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. W. R. Sikes of Winnsboro, Mrs. W. S. Womack of Winnsboro, Mrs. M. H. Riser of Baskin, G. W. Grissom of Rayville, and Mrs. A. B. Henry of West Monroe; four sons, W. B. Antley of Shreveport, W. M. Antley of West Monroe, M. D. Antley of West Monroe, M. L. Antley of West Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Ceila Aulds of West Monroe and Mrs. Georgia Guice of Bastrop. The two surviving brothers are Sidney Antley of Point and Russ Antley, of West Monroe. Pallbearers were Bobby Woods, Eddie Brennen, Jack Brown, Clovis Bryan, Len Audrisch and Jack Moss. ---------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA July 26, 1956 Submitted October 2008 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Mary Jane Aswell Mrs. Mary Jane Aswell of Winnsboro died at her home here Tuesday morning. She was 52 years old. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Winnsboro Free Methodist church, with the Rev. Bradford and the Rev. Poole officiating. Burial followed in the Snake Ridge cemetery near Mangham. Mrs. Aswell is survived by her husband, John H. Aswell of Winnsboro; and eight children, Mrs. Pauline McCauley, Henry Aswell, James B. Aswell, Albert Sidney Aswell, Claudine Aswell, Christine Aswell, Elmer Allen Aswell, all of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Oraline Nichols of Houston; one brother, Ernest Chevalier of Winnsboro and a sister, Mrs. Ida Aswell of Bastrop. Active pallbearers were John Martin, Pete Lupo, J.B. Smith, M.D. Peel, Isom Nichols and M.F. Brown. ------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA July 26, 1956 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Dora Grimshaw Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Dora Carroll Grimshaw, 82, who died in Winnsboro at the home of a son, Charlie Carroll, Tuesday after a long illness. The services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Winnsboro Pentecostal church, near Winnsboro, with the Rev. J. A. Hawthorn officiating. Interment will be in Lone Cedar cemetery. Mrs. Grimshaw leaves three sons, Mr. Carroll of Winnsboro, Denson Carroll of Baskin and Frank Carroll of Start; a brother, John Crider of Delhi; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Posey of Winnsboro; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wade McCain, Morris Keyes, J. O. The baby was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Morris of Odessa, Tex., former residents of Winnsboro and only great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Morris of Winnsboro. Funeral arrangements were in charge of a Biloxi funeral home and Young Funeral home here. The Rev. T. J. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Moore of Winnsboro; two sons, R. C. Moore with the U. S. Army in Panama and Douglas Moore of Winnsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Gaye Ford of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Godwin of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Ike Williams and Mrs. Myrtis Moore of Winnsboro; one brother, Steve Moore of Winnsboro; his father, Eli Moore of Winnsboro. Services will be held at the White Swan Methodist church in Fort Necessity. Interment will follow in the White Swan cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral home. The Rev. Tom Ratcliff officiated. Interment followed in the Ogden cemetery under the direction of the Young Funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Tarver; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie Garner and Mrs. George Paola of Winnsboro; four sons, Alfred Tarver of Bastrop; Robert L. Tarver of Oak Grove, Elmo Tarver of Abbeville and Cpl. Dolphus Tarver, U. S. Marine Corps., San Diego, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Nelson of Woodville, Miss. and Mrs. Ada Nelson of Magnolia, Miss.; and eight grandchildren. Hatton. ------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA July 12, 1956 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Ollie Allen Twiner Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Allen Twiner, 100 year-old resident of Mangham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Coax Baptist church, with the Rev. Charlie A. Thompson officiating. The centenarian, born 100 years ago last May 15 in Copiah county, Miss., died at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Ed Clingan of Mangham Monday. She had been ill for the past 12 weeks. Mrs. Twiner is survived by three sons, Willie Twiner, Mangham, John L. Twiner of Baskin and Luther Twiner of Start; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Clingan of Mangham, Mrs. Mattie Edwards of Wisner and Mrs. Florence Twiner of Fayette, Miss.; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Interment was in Coax cemetery near Baskin. Pallbearers were Ernest Robinson, Cecil Clingan, Terry Clingan, Perry Pee, John Gray and Harold Ashton. -------------------------------------------------
