Collins John A. Collins of 1101 Steele street, died at his home Saturday, June 1, after a lengthy illness. He was 78 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Collins were conducted Sunday, June 2, at 4 p.m. at the Temple Baptist church. The Rev. H. K. Stringer, officiated. Interment was in Ogden cemetery. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva L. Collins of Winnsboro; a son, Lewis Collins of Hazelhurst, Miss.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; a brother, Mack Collins of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Annie B. The Rev. H. K. Stringer of Temple Baptist church officiated. Mr. Jordan leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Ella Jordan, Gilbert; three sons, Milfred Jordan of Winnsboro, John B. Jordan of Columbia and Walter Jordan of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Mae McCarty of Gilbert and Mrs. Rosie Lee Smith of New Orleans; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. ---------------------------------------------------- Obituary of Mrs. Lillian Williams, Franklin Parish, Louisiana Submitted by Tracie Joyner (tjoyner@stephens.com) June 2002 Mrs. Lillian Williams June 10, 1957 WINNSBORO, La - Mrs. Lillian Williams, 60, of Winnboro, La., wife of Floyd Williams died Wednesday after a brief illness. Others surviving are two sons, James Williams of El Dorado, Ark., and Ivy "Sonny" Williams of Altus, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Berry of Key West, FL. and Mrs. Perry Watson Jr. of West Monroe, La.: a sister, Mrs. J.O. Womack of Jacksonville, Ark. and four brothers, Bennie F. Freeman, James D. Freeman and Leo Freeman, all of North Little Rock, Ark., and John O. Freeman of Independence MO., and nine grandchildren.
