Samuel Peter Baum

Samuel Peter Baum, 79, a life-long resident of Franklin parish, died at the Winnsboro 
sanitarium August 8, following a long illness.
Funeral services were condcuted at Coax Baptist church August 9 at 3 p.m. under the 
direction of Young Funeral home.
Survivors of Mr. Baum are two sons, Lewis and Herbert, both of Winnsboro, four daughters, 
Mrs. Viola Pippins of Baskin, Mrs. Lela Smith, Mrs. Myrtle Shirley and Mrs. Eunice Smith, 
all of Winnsboro; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbeares were Morris Keyes, Johnny Wilson, J. W. Free, Osby Garner, Elton Reeves and 
Terrel Ratcliff.
