Bankston Retired farmer and merchant Grover Cleveland Bankston of Winnsboro, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in Winnsboro Sanitarium. He was 75 years old. A native of Silver Creek, Miss., Mr. Bankston was a member of Temple Baptist church, where funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday. The Revs. Joe Mongle and Clarence Young officiated. Burial was in Myrtle Memorial cemetery. Mr. Bankston is survived by his wife, Mrs. G. C. Bankston, Winnsboro; a daughter, Mrs. D. L. Mercer, Lake Charles; three sons, J. C. Bankston, Winnsboro, Clyde Bankston, Baton Rouge, Shay Bankston, Lake Charles; a sister, Mrs. Estelle Jobron, Silver Creek, Miss.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lena White, Chatanooga Tenn., Mrs. Minnie Jobron, Silver Creek, and Mrs. Genevie Pitman, Mobile, Ala.; five half-brothers, Sam George, New Orleans, L. Daughdrill Martin Luther Daughdrill 70 year old retired merchant of Winnsboro, died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital. His final illness was sudden. A Baptist by faith, Mr. Daughdrell had lived in Winnsboro for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie B. Daughdrill; a son, Charles A. Daughdrill, Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Ann D. Thornton and Mrs. Cleo D. Parker, both of Winnsboro, two brothers, two sisters and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Daughdrill took place in Temple Baptist church, Winnsboro, at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday, with the Revs. Joe Mongle and C. W. Jones Sr. officiating. Burial was in new Winnsboro cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Hatfield, Levi Mahoney, J. O. Smith, W. M. Gunn, wife of Gilbert High School's principal, died at 5 a.m. May 14 at Rogers clinic here after a long illness. Born December 23, 1901 at Starkville, Miss., Mrs. Gunn was Miss Katherine Ware before her marriage, and came to Gilbert 33 years ago when Mr. Gunn joined the Gilbert High School faculty. She was a member and Sunday school teacher of First Baptist church of Gilbert, the church WMU, Gilbert Woman's Club, Diamond-Hawthorne American Legion auxiliary and a charter member of Oakley chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Funeral services for Mrs. Gunn were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Gilbert, with the Rev. W. C. Hall and C. A. Martin officiating. Interment was in Myrtle Memorial cemetery, Winnsboro. Survivors are her husband, B. R. Gunn, her daughter, Edleen G. Marczak, a grandson, Stanley A. Hamacher Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Winnsboro for Mrs. Naomi B. Hamacher, 85, of Winnsboro. Mrs. Hamacher died last Monday night after a long illness. The Rev. Clarence Young officiated, assisted by the Rev. Joe Mongle. Interment was in New Winnsboro cemetery. Mrs. Hamacher is survived by four daughter, Mrs. Marie Howarth, Skene, Miss., Mrs. Daisy Miller, Quitman, Miss., Mrs. Pauline Broadway, Winnsboro, and Mrs. Bertha Humble, Monroe; two sons, Ralph Hamacher, Monroe, and Wilbur Hamacher, Natchez, Miss., four sisters, Mrs. Jess Taylor, Clarksdale, Miss., Mrs. Sara Pruitt, Caneyville, Ky., Mrs. Walter Stoner, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. D. Monday in a local clinic. Born January 28, 1889 at Wisner, Mr. Humble was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Wisner Methodist church. Survivors are Mr. Humble's wife, Mrs. Lola McDonald Humble, Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Lola Sussman, New Orleans, and Mrs. Della H. Coughran, Madrid, Spain; a son Vernon C. Humble, Shreveport; a half-sister, Mrs. Myrtle Ellerbe, Monroe; a brother, C. D. Woods, Monroe; and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Humble were conducted at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at Wisner Methodist church. The Rev. W. H. Carroll officiated, assisted by the Rev. A. W. Coody. Interment followed in Holly Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were Eldon Brown, Bill Sheffield, W. She was 75 years old. A native of Collins, Miss., Mrs. Miller had lived in Winnsboro for 41 years. She was a member of Free Methodist church, where funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Born February 8, 1913 at Sicily Island, Mr. Peck died of a heart attack April 30 at his home at Extension. He is survived by his mother, Mary A. Peck; two brothers, John Peck, Winnsboro, and James L. A resident of Wisner for 48 years, Mr. Turner was a senior deacon of First Baptist church, Wisner. Funeral services took place at First Baptist church at 9:30 a.m. today, with the Rev. Carlton Vance officiating. The Rev. W. C. Hall, Gilbert, and the Rev. Richard Wilson assisted. Burial was in Holly Grove cemetery. Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Turner, Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Thompson, Rodeo, Calif., and Mrs. Ella Mae Carroll, Gilbert; a son, James a. Turner, Wisner; a sister, Mrs. Clara Chappell, Union City, Tenn.; a brother, Luther E.Turner, Wisner, and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. Gordon Mitchell, Jr., Robert M. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Juddie Watson; a daughter Mrs. Lurline Nettles, Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Murray and Miss Sallie Watson; a brother, W. J. Watson; and four grandchildren.
