A native of Alabama, Mrs. Hayles was born January 1, 1872. She was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at Boeuf River Church at 2 p.m. January 13, with the Rev. Meredith Hair and Allen officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Hayles is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Alma Jones, Winnsboro; Mrs. Alice Fowler, Winnsboro; Mrs. J. S. Shelton, Montgomery and Mrs. Jessie Craven, Eudora, Ark.; five sons, W. T. Hayles, Vidalia; C. E. Hayles, Montgomery; J. F. Hayles, Freeport, Tex.; E. D. Hayes, Springdale, Ark.; and John A. Hayles, Blytheville, Ark.; 48 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren. Meredith Hair officiating. The Youth, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Ingram of Rt. 2, Winnsboro, died in a local hospital Jaunuary 27 after a brief illness. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Kenneth Wayne and Rodney Mark, both of Rt. 2, Winnsboro and his maternal grandfather, Henry Rolen, Sr., of Winnsboro. -------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA January 16, 1964 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd George W. Noble George W. Noble, 72, former resident of Richland Parish died Friday in a Winnsboro hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Norton, Miss., Mr. Noble was a planter and cattleman. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Winnsboro. He had made his home in Richland Parish for many years before moving to Route three, Winnsboro, in 1946. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist church, with the Revs. M. David Felder and Bob Nobles officiating. Burial was in Lone Cherry Cemetery near Mangham under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Noble, Winnsboro; three sons, Bill Noble, Baton Rouge; Woody and George E. Noble, both of Winnsboro; six daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mercer, Baskin, Mrs. Louis Westerburg, Melbourne, Fla.; Mrs. Cliff Bowden, Oak Grove; Mrs. W. L. Acklin, Baton Rouge; Mrs. Roger Warren, Gretna; and Mrs. Reeves Layne, Shreveport; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert and Alonzo Noble, both of Mangham; Willie Noble of Start and Sam Noble of Lake Charles and three sisters, Mrs. Morris Valentine, Winnsboro; Mrs. J. D. Miller, West Monroe and Mrs. Della Brown, Delhi. A fourth son, W. O. Noble, who once served Richland Parish as Representative, was killed in France during World War II. Miss Otwell was a native of Extension, born May 14, 1905, and was manager of the lunchroom at Fort Necessity High School. Funeral services were conducted at Fort Necessity Baptist Church, where she was a member, at 2 p.m. January 14, with the Rev. Hershel Clanton officiating. Interment followed in Fort Necessity Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Otwell, Extension; one brother, Lawrence Otwell, Winnsboro; and two sisters, Mrs. Jay Gaskin, Extension and Mrs. Ray Leonhouser, San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her husband, Jordan Wiggins, Winnsboro; eight sons, Marion, Stafford, Nolan and Noah Wiggins of Winnsboro; Staten Wiggins, Jigger; Dempsey, Johnson and Clayton of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Donnie Jemerson, Winnsboro and Mrs. Irma Walker, Monroe; her step mother, Mrs. Mattie Carraway, Winnsboro; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ollie Cuave, Winnsboro and Mrs. Allie Franklin, Baskin; 28 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Interment followed at South Central Cemetery at Wisner, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Wright is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mae Justice Wright, Gilbert; five sons, William A., L. O. and Harvey C. Wright, Odessa, Tex., Leo F. Wright, Natchez, and John H. Wright, in the USAF in Honolulu, Hawaii; three daughters, Miss Pauline Wright, Gilbert; Mrs. J. W. Childress, Monroe and Mrs. Curtis R.
