Perkins, Sr. ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 12, 1964 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Jack Ensminger Funeral services for Jack Ensminger, 67, of the Wisner-Holly Grove community were held at the Holly Grove Baptist Church at 11 a.m. March 11, 1964. Mr. Ensminger was a native of Wisner and a retired farmer. He died in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Odis Dumas officiated, assisted by the Rev. Boatner Spinks. Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery. Mr. Ensminger is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosie Stampley Ensminger, Wisner; one son, Bobby Ensminger, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Rosa Lee DeLaughter, Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Gertrude Davis, Vidalia and Mrs. Dollie Mae Onclea, New Orleans and 10 grandchildren. ****************************************** File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ron Manley ronmanley@comcast.net October 11, 2005, 10:47 am The Caldwell Watchman, March 19, 1964 Funeral services for W. B. Perkins, Sr., of the Old Bethel community, west of Clarks, were held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the Clarks Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Carvelia Johnston in charge, assisted by Rev. Curley Bond, pastor of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church. There were also Masonic graveside services at the Welcome Home cemetery, where interment was made under the direction of the Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mr. Perkins died at his home Friday unexpectedly. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 382 of Clarks and had served as one of two police jury members of ward 4 at two different times. Mr. Perkins had been ill for several months. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Augustine Kraft Perkins of Old Bethel; two sons: C. L. Perkins, who resides in Atlanta, Ga., and W. B. Perkins, Jr., of Winnsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Julia P. Brown of Clarks; two step-sisters, Mrs. Fannie Sanders of Angola, and Mrs. Tom Webb of the Old Bethel community; and 13 grandchilden and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were H. E. Claunch, G. C. Turner; Delaney Baxter; Homer Meredith and John Meredith. **************************************
