Young ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA May 21, 1964 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd James William Stampley James William Stampley, 60, retired farmer of Wisner died at 11:15 p.m., May 13, 1964, at his home. Funeral services were held at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wisner with the Rev. Otis Dumas officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Carlberg. Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Surviving Mr. Stampley are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Spinks Stampley, of Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Shepard, Birmingham, Mich.; Mrs. Minnie Ruth Brooks, Winnsboro; one step-son, Orae Cowart, Wisner; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Trahern, Wisner, Mrs. Jack Ensminger, Wisner; Mrs. Mary Batey, Wisner; seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lloyd Roberts, Lawrence Roberts, Bill Roberts, Sam Roberts, T. J. Young, 78, of Winnsboro, died in a Monroe hospital January 26, 1964, after a brief illness. Mrs. Young was a member of Winnsboro First Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, J. C. Young, Dallas, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Magee, Yucca Valley, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth Prichard, Corpus Christi, Tex., and Mrs. Thelma Waller, Winnsboro; one brother, Albert Creiglow, Little Rock, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. January 29 in Winnsboro First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Young officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. ---------------------------------------------------------------
