Warner ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA October 7, 1965 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Barefield Last rites for Mrs. Biney (sic Vinney) Mae Barefield, 86, Winnsboro, were held last Thursday. The funeral was at the South Central Baptist Church, near Wisner, and interment was made in the cemetery there. The Rev. S. W. Bradham officiated. Mrs. Barefield, who had been ill for a long time, died last Wednesday in a hospital here. She is survived by two sons, Frank Barefield, Jackson, and Robert Barefield, Winnsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Andrews, Winnsboro; three brothers, L. N. Dampier of Swartz, Mac and K. G. Dampier of of Wisner; a sister, Mrs. Susie Thomason, Winnsboro; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. ******************************************************* The Franklin Sun October 7, 1965 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Kirk T. Warner A member of the staff of the Farmers Home Administration in Louisiana for 27 years, Kirk T. Warner of Wisner died Saturday, after a brief illness, while a patient in a hospital at Monroe. The funeral was Monday at the First Baptist Church of Wisner, and burial was in Holly Grove Cemetery. The Rev. N. D. Pierce of Wisner conducted the services. Mr. Warner, 54, was assigned to the state office of the FHA in Alexandria. He was a member of the Wisner Masonic Lodge. During World War II he was a Navy lieutenant commander. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Amanda Warner, Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Burton Brown of New Orleans and Miss Mary Warner, Wisner; two brothers, George Warner, Lake Charles, and A. B. Warner, Columbia, and a sister, Mrs. Corrine McHardy, Columbia. Serving as pallbearers were C. D. Coburn, R. A. Bruce, E. J. Shipp, W. C. Knotts, C. L. Gowan, W. A. Tucker, C. H. Foster, Jr. and W. C.
