Monday afternoon funeral and burial services were conducted at the Ft. Necessity Baptist Church 
and Cemetery for Herbert Lee Womack of Winnsboro's Star Route, South. The officiating ministers were 
the Rev. Doyle Adams and the Rev. Charlie Moore. Mr. Womack, 62, died Saturday in a Winnsboro hospital, 
after several days' illness.

A farmer, he was a member of the New Hope Masonic Lodge at Liddieville and the Ft. Necessity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alta Womack; two daughters, Mrs. Letha Jemerson and Mrs. Laverne Morse of 
Winnsboro; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Melton, Chatham, and four brothers, Sam, Wyatt and Lawson Womack of 
Winnsboro and Homer Womack, Tampa, Fla.
Pallbearers were Ernest Otwell, Van Wooldridge, Harold Welborn, R. S. Bonner, James Taylor 
and Ira Lee Cater.
