Ross ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 24, 1967 Submitted October 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Franks Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Miss Gladys Faye Williamson Franks, route 3, Winnsboro, who was killed shortly before midnight Friday in a head on car-truck crash on Louisiana Highway 15 between Archibald and Mangham. Also killed in the accident was Raymond H. Box, 24, of Archibald, who was in the car with Mrs. Franks, 17. Injured were Frank C. Eason, 50, and his son, Frank, Jr., who were in the truck. Funeral services for Mrs. Franks, who was employed at a Winnsboro restaurant, were held Sunday afternoon at First National Chapel here. Burial was in Reagan Cemetery, Baskin. Officiating at the rites were the Rev. Jack Eley and the Rev. Earl Jones. Mrs. Franks is survived by a daughter, Dewanna Marie; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williamson, Jr., Route 3, Winnsboro; a sister, Mrs. Donna Daniels, Mangham; a brother, Larry Williamson, Winnsboro, and a grandmother, Mrs. Lennie Williamson, Baskin. ----------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 24, 1967 Submitted October 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd A. L. Perry Albert L. Perry, 72, of Route 1, Gilbert, died Tuesday, probably of a heart attack at his residence. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Gilbert First Baptist Church, and burial was in the South Central Cemetery near Wisner. Mr. Perry, who had been a farmer, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Aymond, Gilbert; two sons, Julius Perry, Grosse Tete and Marvin Perry, Baker; four daughters, Mrs. Huey P. Lofton and Mrs. Claudie Lowe of Gilbert, Mrs. L. W. L. Richardson Final rites were conducted here Tuesday afternoon for Walter L. Richardson, well-known Franklin Parish citizen, who died early Monday at King's Guest Home, Winnsboro, to which he had been moved on Saturday from Methodist Hospital in Houston, Tex. Mr. Richardson, 67, a resident of Winnsboro, had recently undergone major heart surgery in Houston. Conducting the funeral services at Mulhearn Chapel, was the Rev. Douglas Williams. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery, near here, with graveside rites being conducted by the Crowville Masonic Lodge. Mr. Richardson had retired several years ago as visiting teacher in the Franklin Parish school system. Prior to assuming that position, he had been a teacher and basketball coach at Crowville High School. Mr. Richardson, who continued active participation in affairs of the community following his retirement from the school system, was a member of the Winnsboro First Methodist, the local Lion's Club, the Twin Oaks Country Club of Winnsboro, the Franklin Parish Retired Teachers Association, El Karubah Shrine Temple in Shreveport, the Crowville Masonic Lodge and other Masonic bodies. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nanetta Richardson, Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ramsey and Mrs. Pearl Sullivan of Shreveport, and a brother, E. E. Richardson, Big Spring, Tex. Serving as pallbearers were E. R. Benoit, S. W. Williamson, W. Buie Scriber, Barney Cottingham, Joe Pankey, Glenn C. Baker, Woodie Franklin, S. E. Lee, Jr., and B. I. Berry. Ross Final rites for Mrs. Della Dark Ross of the Ft. Necessity community (route 2, Winnsboro) were conducted Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. H. B. Crammer officiating. The funeral was here at Mulhearn Chapel, and interment was in the Boeuf Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Ross, 69, succumbed Friday in a Shreveport hospital after an extended illness. She is survived by two sons, Ralph L. Pippins, Alexandria, and Danny G. Ross, Shreveport; four stepsons, Alvin, Arvin, Roy and George W. Ross, Winnsboro; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Jake Hood of Victoria, Tex., Mrs. Luther Lanier, Crowville, and Mrs. R. Foster Kincaid, Winnsboro; two brothers, P. L. Dark, Winnsboro, and Carl Dark, Delhi; five sisters, Mrs. W. I. Simon of Winnsboro, Mrs. Glenn R. Knight, of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. S. C. Ferguson of Clayton, Mrs. Ethel Young, New Windsor, Ill., and Mrs. B. C. McGraw, Shreveport, and four grandchildren. ************************************
