Evans Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon at the Sardis Baptist Church and Cemetery near Winnfield for Elmore Jackson Evans, 51, of Wisner. He died Saturday at his residence after a brief illness. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Evans, Wisner; a brother, Owen P. Evans, Wisner; two sisters, Mrs. Helen P. Rieson, Dotson, and Mrs. Opel White, Minden. --------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 28, 1967 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Henry Kincaid Henry Kincaid, 72, of Winnsboro was buried the afternoon of Christmas day in the Oak Grove Community cemetery, following funeral services at the community's Baptist church, with the Rev. Curtis Hoover, the Rev. Charlie Moore and the Rev. Enon Boyette officiating. Mr. Kincaid succumbed to a lengthy illness Sunday morning at his home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura W. Kincaid, Winnsboro; a son, Charles Henry Kincaid, Dallas, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnston, Winnsboro, and Mrs. Lorainne Bryan, Dallas, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Norvel McCarty, Winnsboro; a half-sister, Mrs. Mae Erwin, Winnsboro, and five grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 28, 1967 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Warbington Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Kendrick Ferry Pentecostal Church, near Wisner, for Mrs. Daisy Warbington, 83, of Winnsboro, and interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, near here. Officiating were the Rev. Clyde Grayson and the Rev. Jessie Booth. Mrs. Warbington succumbed Tuesday, after a brief illness, at the Concordia Parish Hospital in Ferriday. She is survived by four sons, the Rev. "Son" Warbington of Gilbert, Frank Warbington of Wichita Falls, Tex., Herbert Warbington, Winnsboro, and Azra Warbington, of Alabama; seven daughters, Mrs. W. B. Neatherby of Olla, Mrs. Nolan Welch of Vidalia, Mrs. Versie Johnson of Winnsboro, Mrs. Martin Posey of West Monroe, Mrs. Ben Calhoun of Rockdale, Tex., Mrs. Samuel Wollerson, Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Arthur Taylor, Winnsboro; a brother, Azra Brandin, Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Rogers, Hebert; 49 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. ------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 28, 1967 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Miss Minnie L. Ward Funeral services at First National Chapel in Winnsboro, followed by burial in the Oak Grove community cemetery, were conducted Monday afternoon for Miss Minnie Loree Ward, 37, of Route 4, Winnsboro. The rites were in charge of the Rev. Jimmie Shepherd and the Rev. Nelson Mitchell. Miss Ward had been ill for an extended period. She died early Sunday at her residence. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ward, Sr., Winnsboro, and a brother, R. L. Necessity, for Ike Williams, 68-year-old former Winnsboro resident, who was fatally stricken in Houston, Tex., Friday afternoon by an apparent heart attack. The Rev. H. B. Crammer officiated at the services. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, of Houston; six sons, Edward, Malcolm and Eli Stanley Williams of Houston, Reuben Williams of Dallas, Tex., Jessie D. Williams, Merritt Island, Fla., and Billy G. Williams, Monroe; seven daughters, Mrs. Wes Bonner of Ft. Necessity, Mrs. John T. Jacks of Houston, Mrs. F. L. Temple, who is stationed at Frankfort, Germany, Mrs. Donald Christeesen of Pocatello, Idaho, Mrs. Robert Dennis of Abilene, Tex., and Misses June and Beth Williams, Houston; three brothers, John Williams of Ft.
