Harvey C. Wright


Funeral rites for Harvey C. Wright, 35, 1324 West 12th, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday 
in the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Curtis Thorpe, pastor of Temple Baptist Church.  
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Wright was dead on arrival at Medical Center Hospital about 11 a.m. Thursday after being stricken 
with an apparent heart attack while working with a pipeline crew at Notrees.
Born March 28, 1933, in Gilbert, La., Wright moved to Odessa in November, 1960.  He married Tribla 
Jannette Haller on June 9, 1961, in Odessa.  He was a heavy equipment operator for Permian Basin 
Construction Co.  Wright was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tribla; one son, Harvey Dale Wright, and a daughter, Teresa Wright, all 
of the home; his mother, Mrs. Mae Wright of Gilbert, La.; four brothers, William A. Wright of Houston; 
Leon Wright of Roxey, Miss.; Levi Otis Wright, 2714 Bagley; and Herman Wright of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 
and three sisters, Pauline Wright, Gilbert, La.; Mrs. Dalphne Childress of Monroe, La.; and Mrs. Alice Shaw 
of Biloxi, Miss.
