Shumace ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA May 22, 1969 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Marcus Johnson Marcus Hinton Johnson, 71, Winnsboro, died Saturday morning at his residence. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Dr. Randall Sledge officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ilah H. Johnson of Winnsboro, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A. R. Cagle of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Gussie Simon, Mrs. Bessie Davis and Mrs. Rettie Wesley, all of Winnsboro; three brothers, Jake Johnson, Malcolm Johnson and Jim Johnson, all of Monroe; and three grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA May 22, 1969 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Hans Peter Lawson Hans Peter Lawson, 84, of Winnsboro, died Friday at a local nursing home following a long illness. Funeral services were at 4 p.m. last Sunday in the chapel of First National Funeral Home here with the Rev. Clarence Young officiating. Burial was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lena Lawson of Winnsboro and two sons, Nick M. Ransom Roberts, 82, of Wisner were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Wisner with the Rev. Milton Williams officiating. Burial was in Oakley Cemetery at Wisner. Mr. Roberts died in a Natchez, Miss. hospital Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. He was a native of Catahoula Parish and had been a life-long resident of Wisner. He was a retired farmer and held membership in the Masons and the Methodist Church. Survivors include four sons, Harold D. Roberts of New Orleans, Aubrey R. Roberts of Winnsboro, Ray R. Roberts of Wisner and Henry H. Roberts of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Clara B. C. Shelton Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Moore Shelton of Monroe, formerly of Winnsboro, were to be held here at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Mulhearn Chapel, and burial was to follow in the "new' Winnsboro Cemetery. The services were to be conducted by the Rev. Clarence Young of the Winnsboro First Baptist Church. Mrs. Shelton, 54, died Friday night, after a brief period of illness, at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe. She is survived by her husband, C. A. Shelton; a daughter, Mrs. Morris W. Dante, Houston, Tex.; two brothers, W. S. Moore of Indianapolis, Ind., and Louis Moore, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Whit Murphy, Camden, Ark., and Mrs. Tom Slocum, Pineville, and four grandchildren. Named as pallbearers were Ray Van Auken, Billy Osborn, James Nugent, W. B. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery at Winnfield. Mr. Shumace died Friday night in Riley's Nursing Home of Winnsboro after a long illness. He is survived by one son, Fred M. Shumace of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Charles W.
