C. R. Weatherford officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Antley died in the Pineville Hospital Monday after a long illness. He was a native of Union parish and had lived in Grayson for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Union Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. M. Antley, Grayson; one son, Charles Antley, Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Odelle Simpson, Mrs. Marjorie Hardin and Miss Katherine Antley, all of Grayson; three brothers, William B. Antley, Shreveport, M. L. Antley and M. D. Antley, both of West Monroe; five sisters, Mrs. Lela Sikes, Mrs. W. S. Womack, and Mrs. M. H. Riser, all of Winnsboro, Mrs. Arzell Head, Start, and Mrs. Mary Henry, West Monroe. --------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA September 17, 1970 Submitted January 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Ella Mae Barfield Miss Ella Mae Barfield, 71, of West Monroe, died early Thursday in the Georgia Street Nursing Home in Monroe after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Baptist Church near Winnsboro with the Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include three brothers, Herman Barfield of Winnsboro, Dixson Barfield of Jonesboro and Edward Barfield of Wisner; three sisters, Mrs. Callie Lee and Mrs. Emma Emfinger both of Winnsboro and Mrs. Eva Brewer of West Monroe. --------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA September 17, 1970 Submitted January 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Ethel Banks Brown Mrs. Ethel Banks Brown, 58, of Mangham, died Tuesday en route to Franklin Parish Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements were not known as of press time, but were to be under the direction of First National Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was owner and operator of a cafe in Mangham. Survivors include her husband, Henry Brown of Mangham; one son, Herbert Joel Banks Jr. of Mangham; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Faye Edgar of Abilene, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Orell Smith of Gilbert and Mrs. Irene Johnson of Fresno, Calif.; and two grandchidlren. ------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA September 17, 1970 Submitted January 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Avis Thornburg Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Huggins Thornburg, 75, of Gilbert, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gilbert Methodist Church with the Rev. H. B. Crammer officiating. Burial was in Oakley Cemetery. Mrs. Thornbury (sic Thornburg) was a member of the Gilbert Methodist Church and founder and president of the Gilbert Fellowship Club. Survivors include her husband, Wallace Thornburg of Gilbert; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Partridge of Semi, Calif.; one brother, W. B. Huggins of Wisner; one sister, Mrs. Scott Kelly of Irving, Tex. and three grandchilden. Pallbearers were Huey P.
