Tom Swillie officiating. Burial was in Chase Cemetery at Chase. Mrs. Davis died Wednesday at Franklin Parish Hospital here. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Inez Phillips of Archibald, Mrs. Viva Tarver, of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Fran Glasscock of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Emmy Hawk of Springfield, Ohio; six sons, William H. Davis of Ferriday, Jim Davis, Bobby Davis and John H. Burial was in the church cemetery. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jigger Pentecostal Church near Winnsboro with the Rev. Jack Jones officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jesse Boothe. Burial was in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. H. Johnston James Hansford Johnston, 78, of Winnsboro, died early Tuesday at the Riley Nursing Home in Winnsboro following a short illness. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mulhearn Funeral Chapel of Winnsboro with the Rev. Harold Davis officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. Mr. Johnston was a native of Winn Parish, a retired farmer and a member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church of Winnsboro. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Emer Johnston of Winnsboro, he is survived by three sons, J. C. Smith of Vidalia, died Saturday in St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Holly Grove Baptist Church near Wisner with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Michael Smith, and Donald Smith; a sister, Wendi Smith, all of Vidalia; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Aline Reagan, Grants, N.
