Beam Funeral service for Mrs. Sara C. Beam, 75, of 106 W. 9th St. were at Odena Baptist Church, Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Herald officiating. Burial was in Odena Cemetery in Sylacauge, Ala. Mrs. Beam died Wednesday at Sylacauga Hospital. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church. She was born in Louisiana. She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Beam; four sons, J. W. Beam of Lake Providence, La., J. C. Beam, Baytown, Tex., Herbert Beam of Gracemont, Okla., and Earl Beam of Sylacauga; six daughters, Mrs. Alma Shipps, Mrs. Myrtle Johns, both of Sylacauga, Mrs. Mildred Cain of Winnsboro, La., Mrs. Jewel Dennis of Sylacauga, Mrs. Helen LeCroy of Dade City, Fla., and Mrs. Dell Cain of Sylacauga; two brothers, C. W. Clark of Rayville, La., and C. D. Clark of Baskin, La.; four sisters, Mrs. Gracie Stroud of Jasper, Ind., Mrs. Dulcie Monroe of Delhi. Brister Funeral services were at 2 pm Friday for John D. Brister, 84, of Baskin, in the chapel of First National Funeral Home here with the Rev. W. H. Remore officiating. Burial was in Union Church Cemetery near Baskin. Mr. Brister died Wednesday at Riley Nursing Home here after a long illness. He is survived by a brother, A. L. Brister of Baskin, three nieces and one nephew. Pall bearers were John Coston, Bobby Gwin, Elvin Reagan, James Folds, James Evans and J.C. Funeral services were Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of First National Funeral Home here with the Revs. Ray McMurray and J. E. Burns officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery near here. Survivors include her husband, William E. Burial was in Providence Memorial Park here. The child drowned Friday in a bayou near her residence. Other survivors include her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. Mr. Pippin died Friday at Iberia Parish Hospital after suffering injuries in an automobile accident. Survivors include five sons, Harold Pippin and Robert Pippin, both of Morgan City, Walter Pippin, of Slidell, Earl Pippin of Bryant, Tex., R. L. Sullivan, 67, a Winnsboro policeman, died Tuesday morning after a long illness. A native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, he had served with the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office for 12 years before his employment with the Winnsboro Police Department in 1950. Mr. Sullivan was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Louisiana Peace Officers Association. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Mulhearn's Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert Miller and Dr. Clarence Young officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. Suvivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Sullivan; a son, Bryant Williams; one brother, J. A. Sullivan, all of Winnsboro; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Patrick of Monroe and Mrs. Katlie Beasley of West Monroe. Pallbearers were A. W. (Buddy) Wright, Chester Cupp, Vernon Wright, M. C.
