W. W. Trahern


WISNER - Wallace William Trahern, 92, of Wisner died 
Saturday at Rosale Nursing Home here after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Holly 
Grove Baptist Church here.
Burial will be in Holly Grove Cemetery under the 
direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Mr. Trahern was a native and lifelong resident of Wisner.
Survivors include four sons, William W. Trahern Jr., 
Albert Trahern, Rufus Trahern and C. L. Trahern, all of Wisner, 
a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Cobb of Delhi, 13 grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The body will remain at the residence of his son Albert 
Trahern until shortly before services.

**Submitter’s notes: Wallace William Trahern, the son of 
Samuel Huston Trahern and Sarah Ann Kenton
Trahern, was born 4 July 1879 near Wisner, Franklin Parish, LA.
