Mrs. Maudie Mercer
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Sanders Mercer, 67, of Winnsboro, 
will be at 10 a.m. today at Shady Grove Baptist Church at Jigger.
 
Officiating will be the Revs. Son Braswell and Bill Grant. Burial 
will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Mercer died Monday at Oakwood Nursing Home of Mer Rouge after a 
long illness. She was a lifelong Franklin Parish resident and member 
of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
 
Survivors include two sons, William J. Mercer, Jr. of Tallulah and 
Willie William Mercer of Swartz; three daughters, Mrs. Eula B. Wright 
of Oak Grove, Mrs. Ola V. Griffith and Miss Frances Mercer, both of 
Jones, La.; two brothers, C. L. Sanders and Nolan Sanders, both of 
Jigger; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Freeman of Ferriday, Mrs. Clara Sowell 
of Crowville, Mrs. Bedie Woods and Mrs. Lottie Wiggins both of Jigger; 
and 32 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
