Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the First National Funeral Chapel here. Burial was in Delhi Masonic Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie J. C. Cobb Funeral services for Mrs. J. C. Cobb, 77, of Winnsboro, who died Thursday, July 13, at the Winnsboro Sanitarium after a long illness were at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, at First National Funeral Home here with Dr. Randall Sledge officiating. Burial was in the Winnsboro Cemetery. Mrs. Cobb was a native of Brookhaven, Miss., but had lived here for the past 55 years and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Carroll Cobb of Winnsboro; a son, Jack Cobb of San Antonio, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Franklin of Crowville, Mrs. Hazel Mattoon, Mrs. Inez Griffing and Mrs. Dorothy C. Curtis, all of Winnsboro; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The Revs. Harold Dunn and Sam Aucoin officiated and burial was in Oakley Cemetery. A native Mississippian, Mr. Flowers was a retired grocer and truck farmer and manager of Haring Bait Stand in Wisner. He was a member of the South Central Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Flowers of Wisner; a son, Leon Flowers Jr. of Oak Grove; one daughter, Mrs. F. C. Davis of Lake Providence; a stepdaughter, Mrs. J. W. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro with the Revs. David Mayo and Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Winnsboro. Mrs. McAlister was a native of Lynx, Ohio and was a member of Apostolic Church of Winnsboro. Survivors include her husband, Rev. McCarthy Funeral services for George Washington McCarty were incomplete as of press time Wednesday but were to be under the direction of First National Funeral Home here. Mr. McCarty, 68 died Tuesday enroute to a Monroe hospital. Survivors include his wife, Ozie T. McCarty, of Winnsboro; three sons, G. W. McCarty, Jr. and Gene McCarty, both of West Monroe, and Nathan McCarty of Haynesville; three daughters, Mrs. B. M. Johnson of West Monroe, Mrs. Earl Toney of Winnsboro, and Mrs. J. D. Necessity, were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with the Rev. Ruth Holly officiating. Burial was in Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church Cemetery near Ft. Necessity. Masonic graveside services were also held. Mr. Moore died Saturday in Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe following a long illness. He was a member of Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church and the New Hope Masonic Lodge, No. 328. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Steve Moore of Ft. Necessity; three sons, Fayette Moore and Steve F. Moore, both of Ft. Necessity, Charles D. Moore of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Stewart of Monroe and Mrs. Vickie Tarver of Ft. Joe Mongle and Dr. Randall Sledge officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery with military services under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Reems was Franklin Parish Tax Assessor for the past 16 years, past president of the Louisiana Assessor Association, a native of Franklin Parish, a veteran of World War II where he was prisoner of the Japanese for 40 months, and a survivor of the Bataan Death March. Mr. Reems was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Winnsboro Lions Club and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Masel Newton Reems of Winnsboro; two sons, Billy Reems and Bobby Reems, both of Winnsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Simon of Winnsboro; his mother, Mrs. Mandy Collins of Winnsboro; three brothers, Ed Reems of Winnsboro, Fred Reems of Tallulah, and Acie Reems of Holly Ridge; two half- brothers, Benton Collins of Crowville and Jimmy Lee Collins of Knoxville, Tenn.; one half-sister-Mrs. Frances Linder of Natchez, Miss.; and one grandson. -----------------------------------------------------
