Weeks ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA November 16, 1972 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Francis Dampier Funeral services for Mrs. Frances McCoy Dampier, 77, of Wisner will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Wisner with Dr. Milton Williams officiating. Burial will be in Holly Grove Cemetery under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Dampier died at the Franklin Parish Hospital Tuesday after a lengthy illness. She was a native of McCall Creek, Miss., had resided in Franklin Parish for the past 60 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wisner. Survivors include her husband, Mack Dampier of Wisner, two sons, Cecil Dampier of Wisner, and Virgil Dampier of Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Easterling of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Bill Carroll of Wisner; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Denton Funeral services for Lex L. Denton, 67, of Wisner were at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at First National Funeral Home with the Revs. Lee Smith and Jerry Hunt officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. Mr. Denton died Tuesday at the Alexandria Veteran's Administration Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Belen, Miss., had resided in Franklin Parish for the past 25 years, was a retired diesel engineer, a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wisner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Inez Dilley Denton of Wisner, two brothers, Joel Denton of Richmond, Va., and Paul Denton of Memphis, Tenn. and three sisters, Mrs. Geoffrey Coe of Chapel Hill, N. A. E. Gibson officiating. Burial was in the Ogden Cemetery here under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Horne, a retired farmer, was a native and a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Mr. Killion died Friday, at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe after a short illness. Survivors include one son, one daughter, three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Vill L. Washington and Rosie Lee K. Glover, both of Crowville, and Mrs. Lornie K. Burial was at Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Mr. McDonald died last Wednesday at the Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. Weeks Funeral services for Mrs. Lissa P. Weeks, 76, of Winnsboro, were at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First National Funeral Home here with the Rev. Bailty Phelps officiating. Burial was in the New Winnsboro cemetery. Mrs. Weeks died early Monday morning at Franklin Parish Hospital after a long illness. A native of McCrory, Ark., she had lived in Winnsboro for the past 15 years. She was a retired housemother for Mississippi Southern University at Hattiesburg, Miss., and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James N. (Bo) Kiper of Winnsboro; one step-daughter, Mrs. T. C. Hampton; a stepson, John L. Weeks Jr., both of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie P. Foster of Wichita, Kan.; and Mrs. Glenn S. Crosbie of Riverside, Calif.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. N. Thacker, E. T. McClung, Glen C. Baker, John M. Guice, J. R. Kiper Jr., Joe M.
