Brumfield Funeral services for James Calvin Broomfield, a 72-year-old Winnsboro resident, were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Adkins First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial was in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Broomfield was a former resident of Witchita (sic Wichita) Falls, Tex. He died Sunday at Winnsboro Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness. He is survived by a son, Doyle Broomfield; one daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Campbell, both of Wenatehee, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Forest Garrett of Wichita Falls, and four brothers, Paul Broomfield and A. J. Broomfield, both of Wichita Falls, Alfred Broomsfield of Byersfield, Tex. and Clement Broomfield of Paris, Tex. Foster Funeral services for John Ernest Foster, 64, of Fort Necessity, were Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grayson family home in Ft. Necessity with the Rev. Ruth Holly officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Foster died early Sunday morning at the Franklin Parish Hospital in Winnsboro following a lengthy illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, a member of the Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II and an officer of the Louisiana Department of Revenue for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Grayson Foster, Fort Necessity; and a brother, C. H. (Red) Foster, Wisner. Pallbearers were B. T. Lanier, C. H. Hatfield, James Mays, David Roach, Jr. Charles Buie and Alton S. Johnston. Magee Funeral services for Louis L. Magee, 72, of Winnsboro were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lone Pine Baptist Church, Winnsboro with the Rev. Charles Champman officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Adkins First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Magee died Thursday at Richland Parish Hospital after a short illness. He was a retired farmer. Rushing Funeral services for Emmett Henry Rushing, 73, of Baskin, were held at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Hale Baptist Church of Baskin with the Rev. Ed Weatherly officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Rushing died Sunday morning at the Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe following a brief illness. He was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Franklin Parish for the past 36 years. He was a retired farmer, a deacon and a member of Pleasant Hale Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Reta Rushing, Baskin; a son, Troy Rushing, Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice McKeithen, Baskin and Mrs. Pauline Anthony, Monroe; two brothers, Enoch Rushing and Floyd Rushing, both of Brookhaven, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Rushing, Mrs. Clara Bell Trimble, both of Brookhaven, Miss., Mrs. Fannie McComb and Mrs. Mammie Trammel, both of Ekiah, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
