V. L. Pruitt and Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Interment was in Reagan Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. He was a retired construction worker and a deacon of Baskin Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Smith Boyette, Baskin; 2 daughters, Mrs. Hazel Cook, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Darlene Richardson, West Monroe; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Chambless, 87, of Lake Charles, formerly of Sicily Island were held at 10 a.m., July 22, at Sicily Island Methodist Church, with Rev. A. G. Taylor officiating. Interment was in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. He was a retired depot agent with the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Mark D. Wentz Jr., and Mrs. Marguerite Gordon, both of Lake Charles; 2 sons, Louis Chambless, Simsbury, Conn., and Fred Chambless, Houston, Tex.; 1 brother, Zack Chambless, Tallulah; 1 sister, Mrs. Effie Connors, Leachville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Flossie Shiers of Baskin; 4 daughters, Beverly Shiers, and Betty Shiers, both of Baskin, Jane Denmon of Gilbert, and JoAnn Free of Start; 2 sons, Jimmie Wayne Shiers of Baskin and Russell Shiers of Vicksburg, Miss.; 2 brothers, Lance Shiers of Rayville and Robert Shiers of Vicksburg, Miss., and 1 sister, Mrs. Flossie Ferguston, of Vicksburg, Miss.; and 5 grandchildren. Bobby Wheelus Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time Wednesday for Sgt. Bobby Ray Wheelus, 24, who died as the result of a one car accident, Sunday, July 20th, in Henderson, Nev. Sgt. Wheelus was serving with the U.S. Air Force at Station Nellis AFB, Nev. He is a graduate of Winnsboro High School. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wheelus, of Winnsboro; one brother, Billy Wheelus, Arcadia, Fla., his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Sipert, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mayola Wheelus. ***** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA July 30, 1975 Submitted August 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Sgt. Interment was in Providence Memorial Park with Dr. Randall Sledge and Chaplain Di'Lella officiating. He was a native of Winnsboro and a graduate of Winnsboro High School. He was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H.
