Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Woodson McGuffee officiating. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Harvey Davis, Milton Albritton, Cecil Russell, Charles Ray Jennings, W. A. Jones, and Harold Russell. Submitter's note: Esther Lee Smith was born to the union of Zacherias Smith and Mattie Floyd on January 5, 1895 in Ouachita County, Arkansas. She died on December 16, 1976. Waller, Gilbert; two sons, Jarell Anthony Thames, Del Rio, Tex., Claude A. Waller, Gilbert; one daughter, Mrs. Rhonda Rose Danna, West Monroe; three brothers, Autrey Thames, Sicily Island, Iley J. Thames, Ft. Necessity, and Huey Edward Thames, Witchita Falls, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Leona Wright, Clayton, and Mrs. Olla Vee Fowler, Gilbert; 3 grandchildren. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish. Funeral arrangements were incomplete but were under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Burial was in Coax Cemetery near Winnsboro. Mr. Walton was a native of Baskin, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, a plater at the Illinois Tool Workers in South Elgin, Ill., and a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church in South Elgin.
