Mrs. Ruth Glass
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Glass, 54, of Newellton, were held
at 10 a.m., April 14th, in the Jigger Apostolic Church with Rev.
Charles Parker and Rev. J. R. Masters officiating.
Interment was in Providence Memorial Park under the direction 
of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
Survivors include five sons, Joseph Glass, Archibald, Carlos Glass, 
Mounds, George Glass, Dennis Glass, and Teddy Glass, all of
Tallulah; six daughters, Mrs. Harold Martin, Marion, Mrs. Hattie
Brown, Newellton, Mrs. Dixie Moreau, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Linda
Barksdale, Albany, Miss Sheryl Glass, Newellton, and Mrs.
Donna Fowler, Gilbert; one brother, George Melton King, Tacoma, 
Wash,; five sisters, Mrs. Letha Minchew, Mrs. Vera Muse, both 
of Newellton, Mrs. Lois Purvis, Mrs. Lettie Killian, both of West
Monroe; and Mrs. Ernestine Kelley, Monroe; 16 grandchildren
and 2 step-grandchildren.

Raleigh McMurry
Funeral services for Raleigh B. McMurry, 64, of Delhi were held at 
2 p.m., Wednesday, April 13th, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home.
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Theo Eldridge 
and Rev. Charles Best officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Reta (sic Rita) McMurry of Delhi; two 
sons, Clenton McMurry and Robert McMurry of Delhi; three
daughters, Donna Alger of Columbia, Lawanda Elliott of Monroe, 
and Jaunece Johnson of Delhi; and one brother, Wallace McMurry
of Hodge; and 12 grandchildren.
