Holcomb, of Gilbert were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8th, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Interment was in New Winnsboro Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Conatser and Rev. Gayle Dean officiating. She was town clerk for the Town of Gilbert for 20 years, a member of Gilbert United Methodist Church, member of Oakley Chapter of DAR, Eastern Star, associate member of Gilbert Womans Club, and Gilbert Democratic Executive Committee. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Firnberg, Hodge, Mrs. Margaret Murphy, of Gilbert; three sons, William C. Holcomb, Charlie B. Holcomb, and Sammy L. Holcomb, all of Gilbert and 9 grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Griffing, W. C. Carroll, George Johnson, F. B. Etheridge, R. V. Arnold, Leo Collins, Ted Holder and M. D. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Marion Collier and Rev. Donnie Wilbur officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ruth P. Marshall, Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Sorry, Rayville and Mrs. Audrey Mae Tucker, Winnsboro; two sons, James Marshall, and Billy Marshall, both of Crowville; two brothers, Carey Marshall, and Rufus Marshall, both of Crowville; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Richardson and Mrs. Carrie Richardson, both of Crowville; 10 grandchildren. Winters, all of Winnsboro, and Bo Winters, of New Orleans; five daughters, Earline Simons, Elaine Smith, and Linda Posey, all of Winnsboro and Judy Knight, Miami, Fla., and Lucille Ray, Fort Worth, Tex.; two brothers, John Winters, Winnsboro and Charlie Winters, Fort Necessity; three sisters, Sarah Burlew, Ruby Crawford, both of Winnsboro and Katie Murry, of Belle Chase; 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
