Funeral services for James Louis McMurray, 59, of Winnsboro were held at 10 a.m., 
April 17th, in the Boeuf River Baptist Church with Rev. C. T. Smith and Dr. Randall 
Sledge officiating.
 
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral 
Home.
 
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn McMurray, Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Edith 
McMurray, Houston, Mrs. Kathy Bryan, Winnsboro; one son, Jimmy McMurray, Winnsboro; one 
brother, Jancie (sic Joncie) McMurray, Winnsboro; one sister, Mrs. Bertie Mae Killen, 
Winnsboro; one half-brother, Irving Wright, Natchez; two half-sisters, Mrs. Hardy Johnston, 
Winnsboro and Mrs. Annie Reagan, Kerman, Calif., and one grandchild.
 
He was a retired janitor at Ogden High School where he was employed 11 years, a member of 
Boeuf River Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois King Richardson, 73, of Crowville were held at 11 a.m., 
Saturday, April 15th, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of  Winnsboro.
 
Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. S. B. Boyett and 
Rev. W. W. BeVille 
officiating.
 
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crowville and Past Worthy Matron of the Order 
of the Eastern Star.
 
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Richardson, Crowville; three daughters, Mrs. Alice 
R. Cruse, Alexandria, Mrs. Janice R. Morgan, Monroe, Mrs. Linda R. Smith, Rayville; one 
son, Emmett E. Richardson, Crowville; two brothers, Wallace King, Crowville and Neville 
King of Merrero; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gates, Winnfield, Mrs. Joe Mae McEacharn, 
Crowville, Mrs. Roberta Dunham, Baskin, and Mrs. Rhoda Mercer, Gilbert; 6 grandchildren 
and 1 great grandchild.
 
Pallbearers were Otis Richardson, Jr., Dr. Carl King, Kenneth Killian, Vester Busby, 
James McEacharn, George Murray Cruse.
