Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Sammy Schrum and L. W. Warren Jr., at Rose Neath Funeral Chapel. Graveside service was conducted by L. W. Warren, Jr., assisted by the Rev. Loyce Lord at the Union Church Cemetery near Baskin. Pallbearers were Charles Jack Archibald, Leroy Barmore, Harold Barmore, Billy Don Barmore, Dan Chapman and Dr. Joseph D. Garner of Shreveport. Honorary pallbearers were W. L. (Pete) Haley, Clarence Barmore, and Paul E. Jennings. Interment was in New Ogden Cemetery, with the Rev. Bobby Brown and the Rev. C. T. Smith officiating. A native of Richland Parish, he had resided in Franklin Parish for the past 55 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Amery Eubanks, Winnsboro; one son, Lynn Earl Eubanks, Winnsboro; one sister, Mrs. W. A. He was born in 1932 in Winnsboro. Funeral services were held Friday at the Sheppard Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Claude Craven officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. Wheelus was an operator for Price Construction Co. of Big Springs. He was a member of the Baptist Church, the VFW and was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wheelus of Big Springs; two daughters, Judy Fennell of Snyder, Tex., and Lynn Wickleiffe of Robert Lee, Tex.; two sons, Ray Wheelus of Snyder, and Marvin McClanhan, also of Snyder; his mother, Mrs. Henry Wheelus of Monroe; one sister, Helen Mathis of Monroe; three brothers, W. H. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, a retired farmer and a member of F&AM.
