Interment was in South Central Cemetery in Wisner. She died on September 1. Survivors include one brother, Hugh Batey Jr., Jennings; and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Trahern and Mrs. Joyce Bass, both of Wisner. Cupit, 66, of Winnsboro were held at 2 p.m., August 29 in the Archibald Church of Christ with the Rev. Murphy Phillips Jr., and the Rev. J. W. Wright officiating. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She died on August 27. Survivors include two sons, Huey Leon Taylor, Morton, Miss., and Charles M. Taylor, Baskin; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Kelly, Leesville, and Mrs. Annette Lee, Baskin, four brothers, Fellie Phillips, Archibald, Wayne Phillips, Baskin and Frelson Phillips and Cecil Phillips, both of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Mae Dollar, Baskin and Mrs. Mary Belle Copeland, Alexandria; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. C. T. Smith officiating. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. He died on August 30. He was a retired construction worker for the Louisiana Department of Highways. Survivors include three sons, John W. Wright, Lexington, Ky., James E. Wright, Natchez, Miss., and Donald Wright, Clinton, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Maybelle Wynn, Ferriday; one half-brother, Jonice McMurray, Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Reagan, Kerman, Calif., Mrs. Nettie Johnston, and Mrs. Bertie Mae Killen, both of Winnsboro; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bud Johnston, Billy Ray Johnston, Cecil Russell, Harold Brown, and Charles Dickens.
