James Thornton
 
Funeral services for James D. Thornton, 66, of Winsnboro were 
held at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Winnsboro 
First National Home.
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Woodson McGuffie and the Rev. C. T. Smith officiating.
He was a veteran of World War II and a city bus driver for Bossier-Shreveport Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nevon E. Thornton, Winnsboro; one son, Jimmy Thornton, Columbia; one 
daughter, Mrs. Kay Temple, Winnsboro; two sisters, Eva Wimbley, Ringgold and Myrtis Price, Shreveport; 
one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Quincy Adams, Bobby Wood, Alvin Sikes, G. B. Thompson, Dolphus Tarver 
and Kenny Wayne Simons.

Otis (sic) Odis Wiggins
 
Funeral services for Odis Neal Wiggins, 68, of Winnsboro were held at 2 p.m., 
Thursday, March 19, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Home.
 
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Lukens officiating.
 
He was a retired watchman at Union Compress in Winnsboro.
 
Survivors include one son, Benjy Wiggins, Chandler, Tex.; five daughters, 
Betty Knight, Odessa, Tex., Kathryn Townsend, Winnfield, Martha Getlinger. 
Hortonville, Wisc., Pam Carnes, Winnsboro, Elaine Norris, 
Swanton, Ohio; one brother, Buddy Wiggins, Winnsboro; nine grandchildren 
and four great-grandchildren.
 
Pallbearers were Bryan Wiggins, Larry C. Wiggins, Earl Wiggins, Sam Shirley, 
Rusty Hicks, and W. L. Martin.
