Amos Funeral services for William Earl Amos, 49, of Winnsboro were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 20, in First Baptist Church of Crowville with the Rev. S.B. Boyett and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, a member of the First Baptist Church of Crowville, a member of the Winnsboro Masonic Lodge No. 246 F&AM, a veteran of the Korean Conflict and had worked 26 years for South Central Bell Telephone Co., serving as a business service manager for the past few years. Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Eudolie Arnold Amos, Crowville; three sons, Billy Amos, Monroe and Tony Amos and Charles Amos, both of Crowville; one daughter, Miss Linda Amos, Crowville; his father, Marion C. Amos, Jena; his step-father, Robert Dunham, Crowville; three brothers, James C. Amos, Monroe, Billy Mac Amos, Jena and Bobby Dunham, Greely, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Ryals, Monroe; Mrs. Catherine Stewart, Monroe; two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Kenneth Peters, Lester Newton, B.J. DeFreese, Mickey Whitten, Andrew Stokes, Kenneth Taylor, Harold Schooler and Gerald Jones. Hughes, Jr. Funeral services for George Mathis Hughes Jr., 72, of Delhi were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 18 in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Theo Eldridge and the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Eldridge Hughes, Crowville; one son, Johnny Hughes, Crowville; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Joyce Hughes, Hendersonville, Tenn.; one brother, Lacy Hughes, Forest; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Prestridge, Crowville, Mrs. Alma Bennett, Forest, and Mrs. Maude Lacy, Delhi; four grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, she was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and was the former owner of Riley Nursing Home in Winnsboro. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Riley, Winnsboro; one son, Larry Riley, Winnsboro; one daughter, Darlene Mercer, Winnsboro; one brother, R. G.
