Guyton Funeral services for former Franklin Parish resident Glen W. Guyton, Sr. 74, were held in San Antonio, Texas on December 14, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jack Bush officiated and interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Guyton died at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio after suffering a heart attack on December 10. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine Guyton, San Antonio; two daughters, Nancy Guyton, San Antonio and Mrs. Linda Loudon of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Glen Guyton, Jr., Shelton, Wash.; four grandsons and two granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Biggs, Crowville; two brothers, Edley Guyton, Crowville and Billie F. Larry Eubanks and the Rev. Enon Boyette officiating. Interment was in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Mississippi, she was born March 15, 1908. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Willie A. Hill, Wisner; one son, Willie W. Hill, Gonzales; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Mae Higgins, Patterson, Miss., Mrs. Katherine Beaver, Oak Grove, and Mrs. Charlotte Gray, Gilfport, Miss.; five brothers, Jeff Wilson, Tallulah, Herman Wilson, Tallulah, John Wilson, Winnsboro, Jimmy Wilson, Orlando, Fla., and Jerry Wilson, Rayville; two step-brothers, Henry Sheffield, Lake Providence and Travis Sheffield; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Interment was in South Central Cemetery, with the Rev. David Oliver and the Rev. Sonny Nugent offficiating. A native of Mississippi, she was born July 7, 1897. She was a housewife, and a member of Kendrick's Ferry Pentecostal Church. Survivors include one son, Warner Kendrick, Gilbert; one daughter, Mrs. Ina Kendrick Chapman, Ferriday; one sister, Mrs. Rose Crawford, Wisner; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildlen. Norwood Funeral services for Asa T. Norwood, 79, of Winnsboro were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 19, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Brown and the Rev. Jessie Sutton officiating. A native of Franklin Parish, he was born January 23, 1902. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church. He died December 18, at his residence, after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Elsie Norwood, Lone Cedar Community; one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Yates, Delhi; one son, Asa Lee Norwood, Port Orchard, Wash.; one brother, Lee Norwood of Gilbert; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
