William L. Sikes

Funeral services for William Lathon Sikes, 54, of Winnsboro will be held 
today, Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home of Winnsboro.

Interment will be in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Simon 
and the Rev. Don Slack officiating.

A native of Franklin Parish, he was born July 25, 1928. He was a motor vehicle 
officer for the State of Louisiana. He was a member of Crockett Point Baptist 
Church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1982, of a 
lengthy illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Donnell Sikes, Winnsboro; one son, 
Billy Jon Sikes, Crowville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Sikes, Crowville; and one 
sister, Mrs. Orelle Atkins, Crowville.
