King, 61, of Denham Springs, were held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. A native of Wisner, he died on April 7, 1984, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Vadion Herron King, Denham Springs; one son, Hilton King, Denham Springs; and one daughter of Baton Rouge; four brothers, four sisters; and his father, Tom King of Wisner. McCarty Funeral services for Earie Elizabeth Mayes McCarty, 89, of Natchez, were held at 3 p.m., April 14, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Max Lee officiating. A native of Columbia, she was born Dec. 24, 1894. She was a housewife. She died on April 13, 1984, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include two sons, Delton McCarty, Natchez, Miss., and Dana McCarty, Seattle, Wash.; one sister Mrs. J. Paul Martin, Shreveport; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pylant Chester A. Pylant of Tuscon, Ariz., died April 13 in Columbus, Ohio. Memorial services were held in Tuscon. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was from Crowville and a graduate of Crowville High School. Survivors include his wife Monica and three daughters, Charlotte of Cincinatti, Ohio, Cathy of Tuscon, and Andrea of Seattle, Wash.; and several grandchildren; five brothers, Ozro and George of Crowville, Cecil, Winnsboro, Raymond of Natchez, Miss., and Floyd of Birmingham, Ala. ------------------------------------------------------
