Gayle Dean and the Rev. Ellis Lawson officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. A life long resident of Baskin, he was a retired farmer and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He died on Dec. 8, 1984, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Merle L. Brownell, Baskin; one daughter, Allie Beth Brown, Baskin; one brother, M C. She died on Dec. 8, 1984, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church, Mangham. He was an employee of Binswanger Glass Co., of Greenwood and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe. He died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 1984, as a result of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident in Carroll County, Miss.
