Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. A native of Winnsboro, she was born Nov. 19, 1925. She was a secretary. She died on June 12, 1985, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Carolyn Ann Chambers, Monroe; two brothers, William B. Willis, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Coy Willis, West Monroe. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Stephens officiating. A native of Mangham, she was a retired teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe. She also worked as guidance counselor of the vocational-technical school in Ferriday. She died on June 6, 1985 following a lengthy illness. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Leota L. Harper, West Monroe and one sister, Mrs. George M. Sartor, West Monroe. Burial was in Harris Cemetery near Crowville. Mr. Nichols died Friday near Benton, Ky. of injuries received in a one truck accident. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jo Ann Jordan Nichols, Baskin; a daughter, Callie Dawn Nichols, Baskin; a son, Sherman Patrick Nichols, Baskin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Priest Sr. Funeral services for Hugh A. Priest, Sr., 67, of Winnsboro, were held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Marion Collier and the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. A native of Bude, Miss., he was a retired weights and standards policeman working with the State Police. He was born Aug. 30, 1917 and died on June 10, 1985 following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Lois M. Priest, Winnsboro; three sons, Hugh Priest, Jr. and Danny R. Priest, Winnsboro and Charles Priest, Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Ensminger, Baton Rouge; one brother, Archie Priest, Ferriday; one sister, Lillie Lipsey, Monterey: 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A native of Jigger, he had resided in Monroe for most of his life. He died on June 13, 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Ronda R. Laffoon and Suzie Shaw, both of Monroe; one son, Vell W. Shaw, Jr., Dallas; his mother Callie S. Eppinette, Monroe; one sister, Nettie Marie Eppinette, Monroe; two brothers, Louis M. Shaw, Monroe and Gene C. Shaw, West Monroe. John A. Williams, pastor, officiating. Mr. Wiggins was born and reared in Oak Grove Community and lived there until 1940 when he and his family moved to Houston, Texas. He lived there until his death on Oct. 1, 1966. He was buried in South Park Cemetery near Houston on Oct. 4, 1966. Reburial in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery took place on May 30, 1985, under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. His survivors include his wife, Clara Stapp Wiggins of Murchison, Texas; one daughter, Mignonne McCann of Houston and four sons, Arlen "Sonny" Wiggns of Dallas, Earl Wiggins of Austin and Larry and Bryan Wiggins of Houston; 13 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; one brother, James Wiggins of Winnsboro and four nephews and eight nieces. --------------------------------------------------------
