Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. Mr. Carter died on Dec. 13, 1985 following a brief illness. Survivors include two brothers, John Williams, Winnsboro and Olie Carter, Mangham. Pallbearers were John H. Williams, Timothy W. Williams, Billy Williams, Michael Williams, Greg Bonner, and Charles Winters. ************************************************************ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 25, 1985 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Ola Blackmon Dampier Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Blackmon Dampier, 81, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Dec. 16, in South Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Lee and the Rev. Don Blackmon officiating. Interment was in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Columbia, she was born Feb. 23, 1904. She was a retired housewife. She died on Dec. 15, 1985, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include one son, J. W. "Billy" Dampier; daughter-in-law Marcee Lee Dampier, Wisner; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Brooks, Winnsboro, two grandsons, William Robert Dampier, Brandon, Miss. and Daniel Wayne Dampier, Shreveport; two great-grandsons; two nephews and three nieces. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 4, 1985 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Sudie Thornton Funeral services for Mrs. Sudie Thornton of Winnsboro, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Interment was in New Winnsboro Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Huff officiating. She died on Sunday, Dec. 1, 1985, following a brief illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Winnsboro. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Floyd Richardson, W. E. Beard, W. P. Lofton, Leroy McQuillen, W. I. Smith and Sonny West.
